Current Studies
Designing online content about systemic therapy and online resource directories: a CancerMaps project overview
Who is eligible
All adult (18+) cancer patients, past and current, as well as their supporters
Types of activities
Virtual (i.e., phone or video-conference) focus groups and one-on-one interviews.
Study objectives
To identify what makes online content most helpful for those living with cancer. This study will focus on understanding how to create better:
01.
Online Resource Directories
02.
Information about Systemic Therapies
Why
While over 80% of those living with cancer use online information to navigate the cancer journey, little is known about how to best design online content to meet their needs. This project explores how to best develop online information about systemic therapies for cancer and how to design online resource directories.
What to expect
The project involves one-on-one interviews and focus groups. You will be invited to participate in these activities during the study and asked questions about your information needs, online content use, the challenges you faced along your cancer journey, as well as the solutions you found to these challenges. Based on the information you provide to the research team, including your preferences, you will be invited to participate in interviews and focus groups related to developing online resources directories, information about systemic therapy, or both.
Types of Activities
Virtual (i.e., phone or video-conference) focus groups and one-on-one interviews.
Time Commitment
Flexible around the participants schedule. Each activity will be 45 – 90 minutes, and participants can decline participation based on their schedule and interest.
